Many foods that seem "healthy" are actually harmful to your health! Your morning smoothie or low-fat yogurt, advertised as healthy, often contains hidden sugars and additives that undermine your diet and efforts. Fruit juices: A 250 ml glass of apple juice contains up to 26 grams of sugar – that's the same as a can of Coca-Cola! Granola, while seemingly healthy, often contains 20 grams of sugar and unhealthy fats per serving. Low-fat products are a scam. By removing fat, manufacturers add sugar or sweeteners. Low-fat Danone cottage cheese contains more sugar than its full-fat counterpart. Agave syrup, touted as a superfood, contains up to 90% fructose, which is harmful to the liver. Even dried fruits like raisins and dried apricots aren't so harmless. 100 grams of raisins contain over 60 grams of sugar! Without water, it's easy to overeat, consuming a huge dose of concentrated glucose instead of the vitamins of fresh fruit. Not everything labeled "fitness" or "natural" is healthy. Always read labels carefully! Look for hidden sugars, trans fats, and obscure additives. Making healthy choices starts with consciously examining the packaging, not with fancy marketing promises.
