Ten historic covered bridges: Chapel Bridge, Spreuer Bridge, Cornish-Windsor, Hartland, West Montrose, Humpback, Durgin, Albany, Flume and Sachs. Licensed photographs identify the crossings in Switzerland, Canada and the United States. This is a selection, not a ranking by length or age. Historic character does not imply unchanged timber: the bridges have undergone repairs and restoration. Much of Chapel Bridge was rebuilt after a fire; Hartland was originally uncovered.
