Zydrunas Savickas, a four-time World's Strongest Man champion, set a world record in the log lift of 229 kg in 2015. Mariusz Pudzianowski is the only person to have won the World's Strongest Man title five times, dominating from 2002 to 2008. American giant Brian Shaw has won the World's Strongest Man title four times, showing strength in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016. Hafthor Bjornsson of Iceland, the 2018 WSM champion, set a world record with a 501 kg deadlift in 2020. Eddie Hall, the 2017 WSM champion, became the first man to deadlift 500 kg in 2016. Bill Kazmaier, a three-time WSM champion from 1980-82, set numerous strength records. Iceland's Jon Páll Sigmarsson is a charismatic four-time World's Strongest Man winner in the 1980s. Magnús Ver Magnússon, also from Iceland, won the World's Strongest Man title four times in the 1990s. The legendary Paul Anderson of the United States lifted tons in the 1950s, setting an unofficial squat record of 544 kg. Vasyl Virastyuk, the 2004 WSM champion, was the first Ukrainian to achieve this prestigious title. Amazing strength!
